High praise for Problem Solving Workshop
22/07/2011
A customised one day practical problem solving workshop was delivered last month. The client wanted to adopt a methodology that was easy to understand and could be used straight away on real life workplace problems. A case study was used and delegates role played typical functions and attitudes to solving problems. Then they worked through the problem using A3 practical problem solving methodology and:
- Followed DMAIC
- Worked as a team
- Practiced the use of 7 quality tools (Check sheets, Pareto, Ishikawa, Histograms, Control Charts, process maps and scatter diagrams)
- Used the 5 Why technique
- Established root cause
- Identified containment and countermeasures
- Understood the need for PDCA to ensure new standards are embedded.
